NSX to F50 - Crazy

So you think converting your NA to a turbo takes some work....

Now these guys are true bodymen. Not too many around that have this kind of patience, talent and workmanship.

I don't really understand "Why" .......... but you don't need to know that to appreciate this.

ok, but why not use a less expensive donor car?!?

Jeez, an NSX is an exotic to begin with.

How did they do that? I'm not familiar with how to build a car from scratch. It appears that they used styrofoam sheets to mock it up, then turned it into fiberglass. Is this correct? How is this done?

Anyone know how they did it? And just how many hours do you think they spent accomplishing this?

Maybe the car is hot and they are trying to hide it's identity?

Neat way to make one-off 'molds'; basically form it in foam, shoot it with a chopper gun, then shave down the form and lay in some reinforcement. Getting the chopped fiberglass smooth after the fact would be a royal b!tch though. This took some talent and a lot of man-hours. What's the going price of an F50? Compare that to a few hundred hours @ ¥/hour...
