Michael Moore speaks out for Kerry

Michael Moore was recently quoted with the following:

Quote:

If I hear one more person tell me how lousy a candidate Kerry is and how he can't win... Dammit, of COURSE he's a lousy candidate – he's a Democrat, for heavens sake! That party is so pathetic, they even lose the elections they win! What were you expecting, Bruce Springsteen heading up the ticket? Bruce would make a helluva president, but guys like him don't run – and neither do you or I. People like Kerry run.

Yes, OF COURSE any of us would have run a better, smarter, kick-ass campaign. Of course we would have smacked each and every one of those phony swifty boaty bastards down. But WE are not running for president – Kerry is. So quit complaining and work with what we have.

What, did you think that he was a Bush supporter??

For a guy who is "overemployed", and works 16 hour days, you sure seem to have a lot of time to post GOP propaganda on this board.

Are you absolutley sure that you are not on their payroll, in charge of internet car boards? ;)

MM is saying "Kerry is the dumb-puppet we were given. . .it's up to us smarty-pants libls to make him perform"

. . .yeah, let Kerry loose to represent the liberal agenda. He'll be great! . . .he'llk listen to MM direction too.

Kerry is involved with Motor Meister??
:D

I'm very much on the conservative side of things and MM doesn't bother me. He makes an entertaining film perhaps, I found some of it funny. So what...his actions speak louder than his words.

Lotsa of em' on both sides of the fence here. A few would do well to stop whining about their jobs going to China and create new opportunities for themselves with their talent...

That's actually one of the more intelligent things I've heard Moore say. I pretty much agree that a strong Dem candidate with a solid platform could whup the W. And W deserves to be whupped in a lot of ways.

Too bad we get stuck with mediocrity all around - I think that's the point Moore's making.

There is a difference in slowely changing your position on something in the face of either evidence or persuasion versus telling two different groups of people totally different positions on the same subject in a matter of days.

Why do I bother with logic?

speeder 09-22-2004 12:16 PM

If you "bothered with logic", you would have serious problems w/ your candidate's oscilating views on nearly every important policy while in office.

Kerry has admittedly done a terrible job of defining his positions at times, and even changed positions, but in fairness some of the popular examples of him "waffling" are quotes either taken out of context or completely void of context.

lendaddy 09-22-2004 12:30 PM

Take the blinders off Speeder. Kerry changes his spew based on who he is addressing, you know this. Bush has changed his views on some subjects over months or even years as the situation changed or he was convinced by those in his Cabinet. It's a joke that you try to draw comparison here. Just one question, does Kerry own an SUV? I don't know and doubt you do either even though he has been directly asked this question several times, WTF!?? Now, the Bush equivilent is?

Too easy.

I sent an email to Kerry & Bush, asking if either of them own women’s panties. I wonder if either will tell the truth.

Hey! I only worked 12 today...I feel like a Democrat! Oh wait...I would have to take the day off, wouldn't I?

There are 24 hrs in each day. 16 to work for the govt, 4 to sleep and 4 to annoy you.

It is not hard to do a lot in a short time...Kerry provides lots of ammunition to make himself look bad....

His supporters either lie or forge documents...or repost the same "talking point" stuff over and over...so easy to counter.

The "GOP"????LOL They only wish they were as good as I am. They do check in for tips here now and then though.
