Yea I wrestled with that one. Just to have the chance to have seen Led Zeppelin even, if by some accounts, they weren't the greatest live act.

To strecth the topic a bit, this is the group I would like to "bring back from the dead" Maybe in 2005!

and yeah, Miles Davis

I was wondering when he would make the list.

He gets my vote too.

Keith Moon - the greatest rock and roll drummer ever, period, end of story.

But that is just my opinion.

Shuie 12-23-2004 02:15 PM

GG Allin. Just kidding.

white87911 12-23-2004 02:16 PM

The one guy who should NOT be brought back is G.G. Allin. If you never heard of him check out www.ggallin.com.

He was the most "over the top" performer ever, makes Ozzy and Alice Cooper look like sunday school teachers.

Shuie 12-23-2004 02:33 PM

If you dont know who GG Allin was, you are better off for it. Dont click the link above. Truely disturbing individual.

white87911 12-23-2004 03:47 PM

Shuie, I cannot believe that yoy and I were thinking of G.G. Allin at the same time. I was typing mt post when you posted yours. There probably isnt 10 other people on the board that know who he is. Very, very wierd.

Shuie 12-23-2004 03:51 PM

I know, funny stuff. I read that and thought 'Wow, that was a quick response. I cant believe someone knew what I was talking about' :D

white87911 12-23-2004 03:55 PM

Shuie, based on your avatar you may be a Misfits fan. I would like to bring back Glen Dazig to be the guy he was when he fronted the Misfits and not the D***head he is today.

Shuie 12-23-2004 04:02 PM

Yep, Im a big Danzig/Doyle/Only era Misfits fan. Ever since I was a little kid.

woodman 12-23-2004 10:45 PM

Joe Strummer.

Hasta la vista mescalero.

But 1st choice is SRV.

Good point... Although he was always a ****. See that vid where that guy knocked him out cold? LMAO.... but then again, life's though when you're only 5' 1.

Joe Strummer, good call... Was watching Rude Boy last night... Man the Clash was a good band...

No, havent seen it. Anybody have it? Pray tell, Jared.

I never saw the misfits when Danzig was with the band. I saw them on their reunion tour in '96 when he refused. This was the loudest band and the roughest crowd Ive ever seen without question. They were a like a trainwreck on stage, you could not even tell what songs they were playing. I couldnt hear for 3 days after the show. They didnt have or need security. Jerry Only and Doyle were throwing grown men across the club while still playing their instruments everytime someone would try to get on stage. Both of those guys looked at least 6'5, 270lbs and juiced to the gills.

Mike(dat's me) 12-29-2004 08:40 AM

Richie Valens? The Big Bopper? Buddy Holly?

How about "If one plane had never crashed"?

Thats my vote
