Which Sheriff Would You Vote For?

This is a Sheriff race in a nearby County. You've got a Replublican incumbent and then you've got - well - the Reverend Happy. A proud representative of the <U>Green Party</U>. For some reason, no Democrat is running. So, all you dyed-in-the-wool Democrats out there, who would you vote for?

Just as background info, here's a few quotes from the Reverend!

<i>"We can't buy liquor here on Sundays or Christmas Eve. That's enforcement of religion. Authorities have faith in the drug laws with no science to back them up. The poor people who don't have insurance, who are depending on illegal drugs, are going to jail and everyone else is being passed over."

"We should automate traffic stops so Judges and lawyers don't let rich people off."</i>

Rev. Happy was ordained via mail-order with the Universal Life Church ...... he was arrested on Aug. 21 on 4 counts of furnishing alcohol to minors ....... he calls it a <i>"modern day witch burning"</i> Have another toke .... :D

Yeah... how long is the appointed term?

i would vote for the reverend just because most politicians dont have either the brains or balls to speak out against our bull**** drug laws.

Thomas Kern is old...age 60. Time for him to retire!

widebody911 10-10-2004 03:55 PM

I'd vote for Rev Happy.

techweenie 10-10-2004 04:41 PM

Well, the Rev Happy is a veteran, so I guess I'd be voting Green.

I wonder what he got kicked out of the Navy for? When I was in, there were no 2 year enlistments.

Are you holding this guy to a higher standard than the presidential candidates?

cegerer 10-11-2004 10:22 AM

The scary part of that resume is not the "Happy House Church", the "Million Marijuna March", or his abbreviated stint in the Navy ...... it's the "<u>studied</u> electronic engineering" part! As far as I know, CMU does not offer engineering classes. They are known as one of the best party schools in Michigan though. :)

i am voting for happy because the other dude reminds me of bush.

Lobo. Sherif Lobo - he's our man!

smoak 10-11-2004 11:08 AM

Rev. Wright scares me more by his photo in the paper than his platform. Kinda reminds me of a cross between the Shoe Bomber guy and some actor I have seen.

azasadny 10-11-2004 11:22 AM

He looks like Spicoli from Fast Times at Ridgemont High!!!

<i>"He looks like Spicoli from Fast Times at Ridgemont High!!!"</i>

Hey bud, what's your problem? :D

RickM 10-11-2004 12:40 PM

"....anybody but Kern"

concentric 10-11-2004 01:09 PM

How about we elect them both as co-sheriffs? I can smell an odd-couple type reality show here :D

Kern: "We're pleased to announce the break-up of a huge male-prostitution ring in Tuscola County. Without the hard work of our officers, we would still have these criminals on the streets..."

Wright: "Those guys are fags! Ah ha ha ha... That's righteous."
