Thom,

That's a democratic conspiracy to make the Republicans look bad.

We should outsource voter registration and ballot collection to India! That would solve the problem.

The Dem's are KING of election fraud.

"motor-voter" the Dem's pushed, the Liberals insisted that no regesteree could even be asked if they were even elegible to vote. (Felons, illegal aliens. ..)

Why is it the Dem's try SOOO hard to register the idiots, the young and naive, and those here to work the system ?

What is incredibly disturbing, to me, is the high number of "hear-say" hit pieces like thoms, there. No fact, they just throw it up some damning noodle, and see if it sticks.

It doesn't really matter if it sticks much . .. the media is throwing the whole damn pot of noodles . ..as fast as they can. They've got to give Kerry a boost, if for no other reason, than to keep the race close, and sell "news".

No fact whatsoever. I could go out and find a thousand democrats who'd claim to have seen something like that. Hell, I bet there are some republicans who'd do the same thing.

The real fraud is the numerous cases of re-registration. Paying people to gather registrations is only asking for corruption... In Colorado, there's a video (http://www.9news.com/includes/playlist.aspx?fn=http://wm.gannett.speedera.net/wm.gannett/kusa/1097555316865-10-11-voterregistration-10p.wmv&sp=randomize) with people who've done the multiple-registration scam... one lady registered herself 25 times one day, then did her friends 30 times. she forged their signatures, and guessed on their personal contact information. Another guy is laughing when he tells about how many times he's re-registered.

"Employees of a private voter registration company allege . . .

That is code for; 'we get to parrot loose propaganda, under the guise of "news".

I recently helped my niece register to vote in Missouri- there was no question of party affiliation or criminal record.

Name
Address
Whether or not you were registered anywhere else in the past.

Did you go to the courthouse and do it the correct way?

My understanding was that the way most normal people do it was to go to the courthouse on your 18th birthday, get your updated drivers license, register for the selective service if you're a guy, and register to vote. Not very complicated, takes about 20 minutes total. I wouldn't trust some schmuck outside of a grocery store anyway.

You could also go to the post office, as I did back when I was 18.

Quote from the article:

"It's unknown how many registrations may have been tossed out..."

Now that's wordsmithing.

If you, in fact, don't know something has occurred, how can you quantify the extent of occurence?

Hopefully, most of these late, fake registrations won't make it to the rolls in time. Only individuals with cards sent to their home address and checked against a government picture ID should be allowed to vote. If the address on the ID is different, "Ba Bye!"
There's some sort of bogus provisional vote allowed this election. What a mess.

FYI: People being paid by the RNC were on U of M's campus registering student voters. The kicker is they were paying them $1.00 to do so. Traditionally 70% of students vote as democrats. Makes me wonder what's going to happen to those kids rights when they show up November 2nd.

Perhaps they were told to vote November 3rd like some people fell for in Florida. No, I'm not kidding..............you can't make stuff like this up.

Perhaps you should clarify.................it was a big stink about nothing. A typo which was corrected before the RNC smear machine even went into action.

In Missouri we filled out a form and mailed it.
Received a temporary voter registration card a few days later.
Have to show ID at polling place then permanant voter ID is mailed.

I registered to vote in my new community last year and never received an ID card - I registered at a festival. I re-registered at the local library and all is well --- I would not recommend registering for something as important as voting at a non-governmental institution.
