What new car would you buy as a daily driver

Budget is 35K

Needs to be automatic

4 Doors

Have a decent back seat.

Thanks for your input.

Michael

Assuming you mean new, versus used:

1.) G35
2.) BMW 325i
3.) Acura TL, or go cheaper,
4.) Acura TSX

What I would buy? Which may not fit what you would buy? Something anonymous. A real "part of the herd" car. The older I get, the less I like drawing attention. Other than the gatherings of early 911 nuts, of course...then I enjoy the attention my car gets.

toyota pickup.

I wouldnt spend $35k on a new car. If it has AC and gets me through the rain to and from the airport and work it will work fine for me.

I wouldn't spend $35k on a pickup.

1 ) Toyoya Prius if I dont have to wait 6 months for it
2 ) Volvo V50

325i - although the new version is coming out next year. Which may be a good or bad thing!

The back seat on the 325I, is way to small for me.

Thanks for the input.

35K is literally the wheel house for hundreds of great cars...I'm guessing the Denali back seat is plenty cavernous but the significant other is driving it. Or you want to sell it.
So: who's it for, how will it be driven and are there any trade-offs?
Honestly, I drive a Toyota Tacoma every single day and love it because it is a remarkably well executed tool. But I also have other automobile itches that need to be scratched that the Tacoma can't...35K would definitely solve that problem.
More data!

"Whatcha got in that thing?" Hmmm, at a $35K budget, you could probably swing a pretty nice sport wagon that would haul people, stuff, and still yield some fun driving...

Chrysler or Ford product....that fits the bill...something cheap to keep and requires low maintence and lower insurance...anoymous is good...

Forget the Euro stuff...too pricey on all counts....this is somnething to drive till the wheels fall off and then you replace it...

U have the toys to play with on the weekend....

I just bought a new 2004 Honda CRV for a shade less than $20K. For an everyday car, it's great. It doesn't look big from the outside, but it's got a lot of room, including cargo room behind the seats. It rides nice, has Honda reliability, and gets ~23-25 mpg. I've been very happy with it.

Good heavens, 35K on a daily driver? Heck no, not where I drive. Find an older Honda Accord for 4-6K, drive it into the dirt. Drive it until the seals totally die, or you burn enough valves that you can't get compression anymore, or until the rings finally get so bad that the oil pan drops out the bottom. It'll last far longer than your attention span, and give you lots of warning of it's impending failure. You'll be praying for it to die a violent and sudden death long before you have any actual hope that it will stop running.

There's my opinion, and worth only slightly less than what you paid for it,

Dan
