My lift was a bit taken back when I tried to put the BMW on it; "What's going on here? This thing is 1000 pounds more than I'm used to!"

It was nice driving to work warm and dry in the rain today, and not having my left leg soaked by the time I got to the office. OTOH, not much of an adrenaline rush sliding the M3 iinto my usual parking space.

Man, you better hide those pictures. Steve sees those and he's gonna apraise your beater:rolleyes:

Coincidentally, a race for pinks isn't my problem, racing on the street is. It takes a special kind of dumb@ss to race out in public, and endanger the lives of other motorists/pedestrians. If a man wants to prove that I'm just spouting off at the mouth, then he should bring his car to the track and prove it, but I will not be resposible for the death of an innocent child. Things happen pretty quickly when you're going over 100...

Excellent article in Grass Roots Motorsports (just arrived in the mail) about a used M3 e36 that they purchased (kind of a beater) for $9500 and are turning it into a very nice street/track ride. Check it out.

Heres your quote.
BTW - I'll run anything in your driveway, anywhere in my bug...and win convincingly...

It's El Mirage for pinks. I will bring my tow bar so I can tow Bills bug back to my house.

I have gotten a ticket in 23 years. Yet you get 7 in a year?
I would say that you are a hazard to others onthe road.
I will find out when the Next SCTA date is and post it.
Put UP or Shut UP.

Meet me at the track. After I win your car, we'll do a Kool-Aid engine blow, and you can watch...helplessly.....Anywhere means anywhere safe. After doing some DE, I realize that driving like that on the street is endangering the lives of others, as well as my own.

Trying to get me to race a car on a public road at high speeds only reinforces for me that you are missing some key components, like common sense and the ability to reason...I'll pray for you

SteveStromberg 10-19-2004 08:42 AM

So you wont run at El Mirage with SCTA?

Like I said Put up Or Shut Up.

It is clear that you will not back up you challange.

Jared at Pelican Parts 10-19-2004 08:43 AM

(Steve shakes his fists in the air)

SteveStromberg 10-19-2004 08:47 AM

Jason Porter a young fellow with many words but little to back them up

It's painfully obvious that you want to do a top speed run, which I don't really consider racing.

It's also painfully obvious that you don't want to drag race me, which I don't really consider racing either for that matter, but it was suggested, and would be funny to see.

So it makes sense that we meet on neutral territory, a track. Running laps against each other, may the best driver win.

BTW - put up or shut up makes you sound like a fool (imagine that), especially when you are trying to entice me to do something that could risk lives or put us both in jail.

BTW - You wanna see me back something up, meet me somewhere...no cars.

Willow, YES or NO?????????????????????????????

lendaddy 10-19-2004 08:52 AM

This is fun:) I haven't seen a race for "pinkies" since Happy Days!

Jason already stole my fire here...

Why don't you both find some agreeable, fair terms?

lendaddy 10-19-2004 08:55 AM

How can there possibly be a "fair" venue for these two vehicles? One is a freeway missle and the other is a hyperactive go-kart.

SteveStromberg 10-19-2004 08:55 AM

You said anywhere.
Well PUT UP OR SHUT UP

You cant back up what you say with Actions that count.

SteveStromberg 10-19-2004 08:57 AM

Lenn Daddy I anm Just taking him up on his Anywhere and beat you Statement.

lendaddy 10-19-2004 08:57 AM

Any track with a long straight and some tight turns as well should suffice.
