Simpleflower album is "done"

The Simpleflower album "SoCalSoul" is finished (v1 at least), and is available for download (for FREE) at:

http://www.simpleflower.com/sounds.php

Hope you enjoy it, and you can share the music under a Creative Commons license (meaning, you can give it to people, but if you want to charge someone for it, you need to contact me).

Todd, listening right now and sounds good. However, seems to be a problem with the link on "Innocence Lost." Just redirects me to a no-static page.

Congrats!

It's always a great feeling (well, if you made good music that you're satisfied with) when you finish an album.

I'm in a major budget crunch for work today, but I've got this bookmarked to check out.

As a novice, what would you call your style of music?

well, we coined the term "SoCalSoul". According to Music Connection in their review:

"Self-described "SoCalSoul" band employs soul, funk, rock and jazz. But when you get right down to it, Simpleflower is a tight group of musicians and an appealing singer whose material is, basically, easy-listening pop songs that go everywhere at once..."

fixed the link to Innocence Lost. thx.

Todd,

I've been listening and I'm really impressed with your sound! Nice melodies, interesting and challenging tempo/rhythm. Reminiscent of Steely Dan, but also unique. Your bass playing is great and "clean" (my favorite bass players are Vic Wooten and Jaco Pastorius). Thanks again for sharing your talents with us!!
