? about trading in car in California
I am thinking about buying a Acura TL this weekend. I would trade in the Accord, just found out the registration expired the end of September.
Do you think the dealers will still take the car in on trade, will they try and lower the price? Michael

Whoever they sell the car to has to register it, so I doubt they will care if the tags are current or not. The dealer itself won't register the car.
Just a guess. I wouldn't mention it to them or make it a part of the negotiation, though. They'll try to jump on it and squeeze you a bit more.

Registration fees are the buyer's responsibility, they won't care.
