If I were a politician and these people were my supporters I think I'd have to resign.

fintstone 11-10-2004 06:27 PM

Wow! Pictures of every Kerry supporter on a single thread.

Where were they when Saddam was killing 1.5 million people? They are out of touch with reality.

<i>"So much for compassionate conservatism.

So you think it is unfair of us to ridicule people on a website intended solely to explain to "the planet" how Bush was voted in by a bunch of redneck hicks? Here's some <i>compassionate</i> liberals from the site ....

LubeMaster77 that d-bag is from Austin. It is beyond belief to me what Austinites will support politically. That's one main reason why I vote in Dallas, although the county is now shedding it's Republican base outward to the suburbubs. Namely Denton, Collin and NE Tarrant counties. If you move to Irving, I can assure you that D's will not have a chance in hell of invading anytime soon. The re-dist. map drawers are some crafty folks.

M.D. Holloway 11-11-2004 12:00 PM

I work in Irving - live in Highland Village. Waited in line in Lewisville for 1 3/4 hours to be told I was in the wrong prescent - another 45 minutes at the correct one I cast a provisional. I wasn't alone. All those in line with me both times were cool - not a complainer in the bunch - all said they were going GWs way, at least that was face to face.. Mind you, I'm not one to press the politic, just makes for good gab when looking to pass time.

Austin has one thing going for it - it is way prettier than Dallas and Fort Worth. Girls arn't as good looking. No place on Earth like the Big D!

mattdavis11 11-11-2004 12:15 PM

Small world. Where abouts in Irving do you work, if you don't mind me asking? North of Irving Blvd. (spur 356), IIRC, is a safe R haven.

M.D. Holloway 11-11-2004 12:18 PM

right across the street from U of Dallas on Northgate. That half mile of chemical plant is me.

mattdavis11 11-11-2004 12:28 PM

My old stomping grounds. Once had a 951 in third on Northgate errrr. never mind. Are the tracks near the duck ponds passable yet? Threw me for a loop, twice, had to do the Carl road to 183 route to get home. MacArthur and Northgate is my home 200 miles away from home.

M.D. Holloway 11-11-2004 12:35 PM

second best short run for a 911 in that area! That road was out for 2+ years but it is in now. The best one is the service road for 114 going north from the loop 12 exit all the way to Esters Blvd. Stay on the service road - catch it anytime but 4-6pm and the twists and hills will make you laugh. Beware of the entering cars from 114 - have to "yield" to them - ya right.

Been to Cool River lately? The wife put an end to that once she saw the talent dripping around. Oh well, good times...

mattdavis11 11-11-2004 12:52 PM

Haven't been to Cool River in some time. I might have to check out the "trim" there when I'm up for Thanksgiving. My favorite run was from Story to Belt Line on Northgate and visa versa, again this has been sometime and I have become a little more wise with years. There was nothing like getting one wheel off the... nevermind, it was in the same car I have now.. O'Connor from N.W. highway to 635 could get interesting, I suppose. If Mr. (forgot his first name) Gutzski still works at your plant, tell him I said hi. (he's the elder man that walks to and from work) Screen name is the same as actual, minus the 11, of course.

Edit: Oh, watch the water that collects near O'Connor at 114 service road, I'm sure you know that though.SmileWavy
