Anyone catch the Lunar eclipse?

Saw it tonight just as the shadow was closing in. Cool stuff. I've seen both a solar eclipse and the lunar one now... I took a fwe pic's, I'll see if they came out in the morning...

Stuck in Seattle for a few more days - cloud cover made it tough, every time I went to look , I got drawn back to the series. A Red Sox World Series win turned out to more of an astromonical anomoly than the eclipse.

Just saw the remnants of it out here in L.A. It's the best show in town tonight.

it just finished it's cycle here in ohio..........perfectly clear night
cool stuff, reminds you of "the big picture"

I wish I could've seen it... It was foggy again tonight. Guess I'll have to wait until 2007

Saw it, and captured one pic every 10 seconds on a webcam attached to a laptop. Quality isn't really there - no magnification, etc. But I'll make a stop-motion movie in a few hours and see what it looks like....

I saw it as well....very cool.
Sounds of the Red Sox in the background.......

Nice pics Chris. Cloudy here all night.
Had a CCD at prime focus on an 8"SCT. No luck at all....

Clear view here in FL, not a cloud in the sky. Took longer than I thought.

We sat outside in front of a local Starbucks sipping coffee. Great view.

That, along with a Red Sox sweep made for a pretty good evening.

Set up my telescope on my deck last night.

Cool stuff.

What a night! A Lunar eclipse, two water spouts just off of Malibu and the Red Sox win the World Series!

Don't forget - the stars also must have been perfectly aligned - how else would you explain the Bosox winning the World Series....

It looked like a big orange basketball.

After a while it lightened back up to a very pale orange.

The light cloud cover in Michigan made it look like a paint brush stroke went over it, then like an eye, then like a starfish because of contrails and such.

A very surreal experience.

We had rain yesterday in SoCal, which made for perfect conditions in the evening when the eclipse came out.... The precipitation and wind cleans all the smog and other nasty stuff out of the air, so it was perfectly clear. A rarity here.

We were all working at the studio so we took some lawn chairs and our powerbooks and hung out on the lawn and watched for a while.

Beautiful.

It's the second one I've seen. Pretty spooky standing under a blood-red moon.

It started out low on the horizon in Sonoma County. First one I have ever seen, clear sky.
Told the neighbor he should come out a check out the eclipse, but his comment was "All I see is that jeep across the street."
