I watch a bit today. Here I was thinking that they might be Ra^ther motivated to stop being so partisan.

JUST the opposite. This hit piece on how soldiers are going to Iraqi tank grave-yards to procure armorment for their humvees.

Ra^ther than trying to find the real issues, they simply pin this on "poor planning". (with implied outrage .. . of course)

Here we have 60,000 annual deaths in this country in our un-armored :rolleyes: autos, yet 60-Minutes runs this hit piece HOURS before the election.

So are you claiming that our troops aren't having to scrounge around for their own armor because bush was eager to send them into a shooting gallery without any?

Well I thought the part about SNL was pretty cool.

So what are the "real issues?" That it's just made up that the troops are underequipped? That it's a falicy that they have to go around to scrap yards and pick out pieces of armor to weld to their vehicles? Is it also a big lie that their parents are buying bulletproof vests and mailing them to Iraq so that their kids have at least that small bit of protection to keep them alive?

Please, illuminate us to what the real issues are. Unless during our daily drives our "unarmored" cars are blown up with improvised explosives, rolling over mines, or being shot at with bullets, you've got absolutely no case, Island...

Yes, Island. I do expect my president to turn over all stones, and show the administrative savvy and energy needed to plan a military action so that its objectives can be met, and with a minimum of American life lost. That's minimum. And that was not done.

So you can pretend that it's okay to send folks off to war unprepared, but it's still not.

Perhaps your're right that we don't spend enough on being properly prepared for war.
