According to this article the combination of some cholesterol lowering drugs and grapefruit can be very toxic.

My pharmacist warns me every time I pick up my perscription. I haven't had grapefruit (fruit or juice) in years. Never really liked the stuff anyway. Melons I continue to enjoy....:)
