Pottery Barn rules still apply...

It just occurred to me that Bush still has to solve Iraq. And before January elections. Pottery Barn rules still apply.

Anyone think about that?

What do Pottery Barn rules mean? I've never heard this term before.

Go into Pottery Barn and smash a pot; you'll find out via your wallet.

Seriously: it was a term used by Colin Powell just before GW invaded Iraq. "You break the country, you own it." (sic)

My point is, the president-reelect has to fix Iraq - daunting in and of itself - to maintain a successful presidency - at least IMO, because he's staked much of his position on the country.

I imagine he'll try in some weird way, but he doesn't have to fix it ... he got his 2nd term. Whoever said he has an obligation to make his presidency successful?

Fixing Iraq - or any other country - is gonna take a long haul ... a lot longer than any presidential term.

GWB is under no obligation to fix Iwreck - and I doubt he will. His sights are set on Iran now.

We'll be paying for GWB - in dollars and lives - for generations. Bask in the glow while you can that 'at least he's not Kerry"
