I find it more saddening than surprising. I don't know, it just seems that a "war" on drugs doesn't work.

Is that still their buzzword? War on drugs brings to mind visions of the 80s for me. It's time for a new twist, you guys have Arnold now, let's put him to work! He did pretty well in Commando.

Being more accepting of alternate life styles is not necessarily a good thing. "The only thing that evil needs to thrive...is for good men to do nothing." maybe you guys on the coasts need to check your own values. It is a cop-out to attribute the differences to the fact that we are somehow ignorant or unsophisticated. Many of us in the red states are well educated, live in cities with all the problems that know-it-alls in LA, NYC, or SF and have most likely visted and/or lived in some of those cities. In fact, many of us are well travelled and have lived in other countries. I have lived in many large cities....where one is constantly bombarded their entire life by school, television, newspapers, even roadside signs that preach the same liberal message until acceptance of it becomes normal. Anything that disputes that reality is laughed at and dismissed as ignorant or intollerant. It reminds me of when I visited East Germany in the '80s...only with a different message. It is so bad that many liberals that post here could not even imagine Bush to be reelected.....that is how far they are out of touch with reality. Wake up! If this election didn't do it...nothing will.
