can you run again ?
a question ?
can presidential candidates run again ? cheers A |
only two terms (8 years in total)
|
Bush has 4 long years to get that changed...
|
You can run as many times as you want. Chances are that your party won't nominate you again if you lose once, though.
If you are elected, you can only serve as Pres for 2 consecutive terms (8 years). |
I think it just says no more than 2 consecutive terms but no real limit on the number of actual terms just so long as no more than 2 are consecutive - so Since 4 years (it'll be 8 now) technically Bill Clinton could run in '08.

Don't think it is consecutive terms.. just the major portion of 2 terms (2 years or more of the 4)...

cheers,
answered, I ment if you loose can you run again. BUt all points taken. Thing is it was very close, so why would Kerry not want to run again ? Just something I was thinking about. Of course if he lost a second time that would be really "embarrasing" ;) cheers all Ade |
Ade,
The party would not let him run after loosing now. Party strategy only no rules. |
