First Snow!
It's 9:15pm.
It's snowing like there's no tomorrow. We're drinking hot toddies and roasting chestnuts in front of the fire. With a little luck it'll settle so we can goof off for a couple of days!!! |
Where?
If I want to see snow, I will look at the Catalina mountains about 16 miles distant in January. I shovelled my last driveway clean in 2000 and haven't missed it yet.. |
Im not looking forward to the white stuff. In fact Ive been considering a move to a warmer climate where I dont have to shovel or frezze.
|
Snow makes me nauseous!
|
In Milan? You guys get heavy snow?
|
Milan is for work. Both me and Isa have weekend places in the N. West in the mountains.
Unfortunately it turned to rain so it cleared it up pretty much. Sigh! Isa's husband has to go into his studio and I'll have to visit clients. Isa's thought of an excuse to stay in bed :p |
This is from last spring and I've paved the drive since then. It still captures my feelings.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1099906187.jpg

Ha Ha:D
It's a gorgeous day today, warm enough for no sweater if you're in the sun. And I'm at home waiting for some tradesmen, my full attention on a rubbishy novel and a mug of coffee laced with rum. A girlfriend is coming by later with pastries. Hope my husband Armando and Milu got caught in traffic and are working hard:D |
I just received these on my phone from Milu.
Ha Ha:D He's snowbound in the mountains with his chains and snowtyres in the city:D 4:00pm http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1100016976.jpg 4:20pm http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1100017062.jpg 4:30pm http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1100017156.jpg |
I have an extra set of chains here. Unfortunately the electricity failed and I'm working with power from a small generator and a large continuity unit. With an early morning start to look forward to and a meeting in Switzerland at lunchtime.
|
let me know if you need help. my panda has snow tires (and now it's not the 4x4)! i can be there in... umm... 6-7 hours. :D
|
Thanks, but I should be ok as the snow ploughs have started passing.
