I Think Mothers Virgina Wolfe
I saw Mother today, she was sitting on the sofa drinking her usual Vodka and Tonic with a twist of lime. I could tell she allready had a couple and was feeling no pain...I thought, "Oh Geezus I'm in for one he11 of a harangue today"....But what I heard today was just surreal....Mother started off by saying, " Tabby I've been unrelentingly hard on you, and I've done nothing but lie about you, your nothing like I portrayed you as being." I said, "you mean I'm not the prodigal son." Mother than said, "Your no more the Prodigal son than I am alive. " I said, "Thats rich your sitting right there in front of me and your telling me that your DEAD?" She said, "Thats right Tabby, you just don't want to tell anybody that I've been dead for a long time." I said "I don't get this whole conversation, here I am talking to a dead person....who just happens to be drinking a Vodka Tonic?" Mother than said, "You use my image as a juxtapostion to flay anybody who has a negative opinion of you." I said, "Oh Geezus now I need a drink.....is it any fking wonder that I turned out like I am with Virgina Wolfe for a Mother....next you'll be telling me I'm Norman Bates." Mother got up and said, " You are so fking melodramatic, it's nothing so complicated as that you fking twit...your just able to use abstract imagery to make your point."

Reminds me of a movie. Strangers show up in a Motel, middle of the night. The Motel owner is very weird. Turns out, he has his both parents dead in the house nearby, for maybe 10 years, and he goes visit them and talks to them as is they were still alive. I can`t remember the title of that movie.

I didn't think anybody would have the guts to respond to this nut twister...The character in the movie you are refering to is Norman Bates of the Movie Psycho...sorry but as you can see I covered that allready...

Sorry DD but I covered that one as well, with my comment about being melodramatic.....After talking to Mother it is awfully hard keeping what is real and what is imagined straight...

the real problem is no self respecting mother would drink vodka with tonic - gin is the sin, vodka is merely water with an afterthaught. You, Tabs have a dimished veiw of mommy - for a reason to be revealed later - she didn't meet up to your expectations once you were old enough to understand the attraction a man has towards a women other than his mother. She is a shadow to you now - something that you will chase but never catch, but not much more. A calling from within you - that of a scared and bewildered child in a man frame looking to make sense of a senseless absurd world. Craving perfection in a car, a dream, a mother who, still drinks vodka with tonic - perfection is lost, paradise is lost - Tommy Wolfe was right Tabs - you can never go home again...

recently, four monster trucks cruised softly through a peaceful meadow filled with thousands of purple alarm clocks. unbeknownst to the furry gerbils piloting the trucks, certain destruction was about to rain down upon another meadow that was located in the Atlantic ocean. in related news, a mad scientist threw many beakers of chicken broth down at the tiled floor in desperation. if only he hadn't have left the four sets of truck keys out last night..

Tabdula, magnificent one.
I am inclined to agree with your Mother's insistence on consuming Vodka and Tonic, rather than Gin. It is, after all, post-labor day, even in Nevada's sunny clime (where I used to spend my time, a-servin o' her Majesty the Queen!) I shall resume the drinking of Gin at exactly four o'clock next Memorial day. And kindly ask your Mother to take those stones out of her pockets, does she want to be remembered like Virginia Woolf?

to Tabs she is real. If you or I or even Aurel were sitting in the same room as Tabs with his mother we may percieve a completely different scenerio. Hunter T and David Lynch are alive and well nestled perfectly in the Tabs cranium (sp) and maybe even a few other dark cavities.
