Bought a house in April, they were still up! It was handy actually, we had a ton of work to do before we moved in... many late nights that required help from friends and pizza deliveries. The house isn't clearly marked, so I'd just tell them it's the house with xmas lights on.

How about you have a turkey dinner first, then worry about the next holiday. It seems everyone is in a hurry!? I can understand, "its the most miserable time of the year" depending on which version of the song you listen too, but regardless its not going to go by any faster with lights up. Although it will increase the electric bill.

Michael,

Please don't remind me. I love Christmas and everything but my mother already has the tree up and a Snow Village as of 2 weeks ago. I agree with the saving electricity idea or try this one you can't find the one bulb that is making the whole set dark and it will take you about 2 weeks to figure it out.

Chris

My problem is we have a party on the 5th, and are gone the weekend before.

Maybe I will uncover the P-Car and drive it to get new lights. Any ideas for lights this year?

Michael

One house in my neighbourhood put them up for Halloween and then sat in the driveway dressed as Santa handing out candy. I thought it was brilliiant, kill two birds with one stone and put the lights up before it gets cold.

The kids liked that better than the guy who had fake smoke, scary music and was dressed as the grim reaper.

We don't bother putting up lights at all, the tree goes up no more than 2 weeks before Christmas.

Mike
