probably the reason Tabs isn't banned for using a false ID, IS : He's not using a false ID !!!

Wayne just nabbed someone for doing this in another thread ..

I'm sure that if either of those nicknames are other members and using the names to troll, they will be dealt with, but please don't accuse someone that you disagree with of being someone else that you disagree with based on just that fact.

You don't know the Vile Old Man well enough to know if he is a Vile Old Man or not...so when you do get to know him well enough to whether he is a Vile Old Man or not, then come back and talk to me Klaucke and we will discuss whether or not this is a pointless thread or not....until then go away and stop bothering me...

This place makes no sense whatsoever. Z-man banned someone a few days ago. I went back and read the thread leading up to the bannishment. It didn't look any worse than what I see on a regular basis. And, the person for whom the insult was directed is personally aquainted with the banned person. He didn't seem to mind it all that much either.

Then, Wayne comes on and drops the anchor on a troll simply because he has the wherewithall to ID IP's. It's not like that's the only one, you know? The post was pretty bad, though, I'll grant that.

Yet, tabs carries on and on. He dumps on Cool Chick and antagonizes everyone in R Gruppe. If that isn't represetative of a personal insult, I sure as hell don't know what is. Especially after repeated and repeated shots at the R Gruppe and a few at Jack Olsen.

I'm being careful to recognize that some of this occurs on another BBS, but it's here too.

Now if calling someone an vile old man is not grounds given what has transpired recently, then I protest. How about some consistancy?

I do not DUMP on Cool Chick....as a matter of fact I like her.. she has the courage to stand up and voice her opinion and stick with it in the face of disapproval. Her only fault in my estimation of things is that she is a LIBERAL...but no ones perfect!

Yep...I do antagonize them, but they get antagonized easily....and I have been called every name in the book by them...

Oh ZEKE your such a Johhny come lately to the Tabs/R GRUPPE fray...It all started on that other BBS and raged for almost 2 years unabated over there, and I'm still in good standing over there BTW..it was GLORIOUS...

And with regards to the Vile Old Man are you aware that he threatened to bring his assault weapon to an R Gruppe Meeting in Cambria..... and my comment to his threat was "are you going to Cambria by way of Stockton?" Somehow I gather he didn't like that comment...

and you mentioned Jackie O, but how could you not mention BB2 in the same breath is beyond me...

Zeke, I've often wondered the same thing. My thought is that the Pelican regulars recognize that Tabby is simply off his rocker, and nobody takes him seriously. Tabs is the crazy old loon that everybody ignores, but who adds a lot of character that you'd really miss if he went away.

Or maybe I need to go back on my Prozac.

I was the moderator on that other website Tabs referred to. I tried hard not to ban anyone and instead attempted to appeal to their better sense of order in order to maintain some semblence of free speech. I privately "spoke" with Tabs on more than one occasion.

After a brief period of calmness, when I felt Tab's comments were again heading beyond my ever-expanding range of patience, I merely deleted his comments from the thread (some may have wondered about the discussion continuity in some threads; that's why). Perhaps he got the message after the first few times. In the end, I might have overextended my good judgement in allowing his free speech to remain on the forum. Like here, many called for his ouster or, like PWD72S, simply put Tabs on their "Ignore List". Anyone here also has that option for anyone they wish to ignore.

Without singling out any one person, our current moderators should do what they feel is in the best interest of the forum.

Chrisakes, I get busy and neglect the board for a few days and what did I miss? How about some links?

The first story sounds like the Mulholland incident, but that was months ago, not days. It happened again?

A couple observations, I know how you guys live for my "observations"....

i think tabby's got a little thing for c_c, even has a cute little nickname, "coolie".

Dan is correct in tabby being part of the decor now, I'd miss him in a perverse way if even for a week.

I never heard the Jackie O call, and thats his best one this calander year.

Zeke has been inhaling too much rust dust and seems cranky, either that or it's the holidays.

Guys romancing of the "gruppe" remind me of college freshman during rush week. They get very defensive about being scrutinized on their entry merrit.... oh that, and the 50 bucks, and timely acknowledgment of its receipt...

YUP! I'm generally against censorship, thinking that perhaps it's an obscenity in it's own right...unless it's censorship one imposes on self. I've chosen to ignore tabbydoll's boorish rantings that more often than not denigrate others. I can hope that others here decide to join me. If not? It's their choice...and their anguish when the pit bull decides to turn on them. It's pretty easy to place somebody on an ignore list. Those who don't know how to do so? Your right I do like Cool Chick...and have ever since I reliquished the title of agent provocture...and the name Coolie came before I decided I liked her in other words Coolie is not a term of endearment.....What I like is the fearless spirt...that is besides just being a Hottie..

And my call on Jackie O being a narcissist....you wouldn't believe who told me I nailed that one right on the money...Everytime I see Jackie O put up a picture of BB2 I would post a picture of my Espresso machine in rebuttal...
