Patton's possessed

Evidently all the demons I've slaughtered on the 'puter have wafted up through the monitor into Patton, one of my cats.

Enough Doom3. On to Halo 2 ... then Half Life 2...

That looks like a big ViewSonic tube. He probably likes the heat coming off the electron gun.

When are we going to be treated to some photos of the "New" 930?

Patton's definitely got some of the salamander in him -- he splits his time between the top of the 21" Viewsonic, the top of the ATI 1500 amp and the down comforter on the bed -- depending upon which room I'm in.

The 930 is in the 'Cuse, after a frigid and sometimes harrowing trip up last weekend. It's w/ my interior guy, so pix will wait 'til spring, when the new sound system and carpeting are in.

I was going to take some pix of it with my friend's McLaren SLR, but the Mercedes' delivery was delayed (he's got it now) so that didn't come to pass. Evidently there's a rule that the Merc. techs are not allowed to drive the car, so set-up required my friend to spend half a day with them and the car -- him driving and them dialing it in.

Just curious:
How many cats do you have, and what are their names?

Cute kitty.

Two cats right now (the grilf is pushing hard for a third as the cat with which she grew up was just put down last week).

They're both Pixie-Bobs. They look like little bobcats -- hair tufts on the ears, very short tails and huge (polydactyl) paws. Everything you might read about their personalities is true -- they're very playful and "dog-like". Not at all distant or aloof like most cats -- in fact, some distance or aloofness might be nice once in a while! Nobody -- and I mean even the most rabid cat-haters -- that's met them fails to love 'em.

The other (and older) cat's name is Dublin. He's about 14 lbs and maxed-out; Patton is slightly heavier and still growing. They can get to mid-20s w/o too much effort. I really wanted catzilla when I shopped for a breed -- which is all well and good until you're lying on the couch, minding your own business, and one of them jumps onto your stomach (or slightly lower).

It's funny, I look at "normal" cat now and wonder "how do they get around on those tiny little paws? and doesn't that tail get in the way?"

I'll put up a pic of Dublin when I get home tonight.

We have three currently as well...

It started out with one (a big old smart and arrogant bastard of a medium-haired orange tabby named Nathaniel, after Nathaniel West, the author), then we got another kitten Blue, who was 1/2 Abyssinian, a beautiful grey little guy. He got hit by a car and after $7K in medical bills, they still couldn't put his crushed pelvis back together. Still chokes me up to type this, we had to put him down and were there with him at the end.

This was Blue:

Wife convinced me to adopt another cat, so we went up to a friends place who runs a de-facto animal shelter for about 50 cats, and adopted two Siamese cats. One was a mom with 5 kittens (we found homes) and the other was another older kitten from a different litter. Serene is the mom, Akira is the kitten.

The wife is a crazy cat lady in training, for sure. Her parents own the largest cat I've ever seen, who's a Maine Coon cross named Brutus. He's easily 28-30 pounds of pure muscle and eats other cats for snacks.
