Chrysler 300: MT Car of the Year

Seems to be another faddish style...IMO.

I often wonder what really drives the Motor Trend Car of the Year awards......

You mean, besides advertising pages bought? Well, I guess contracts for future advertising might count, too. And direct payments have to be a factor...

You're right--I'm sure it's some complicated formula taking into account all of the above.

I just returned from Kauai, and let me tell you, nearly every car on the road is a new Chrysler 300. The rental car companies must have purchased half of the production run this year.

This is the same Chrysler 300 that was absolutely panned by every non-US magazine? The one that Jeremy Clarkson summed up with the phrase "terrible?"

Just goes to show you how far up its own arse the US motoring press still is...
