Hope so, I have a first edition signed by the author I paid $50 for at a moving sale!

Despite the breathy hyperbole of the eBay ad, the '77 edition is not "exceedingly rare", and clean copies are available for far less than that price from any number of sources, such as here.

I picked up a good used first edition copy as a gift at a book fair a few years ago for $60.

Sheesh! The one at auction isn't even bound in beige leather, and doesn't contain the signed certificate giving the book number. My copy is #31...I forget the original cost.
