And you thought dead beat dads were a problem

Texas mom held for severing baby's arms
But everything will be allright as long as those child support checks keep rolling in.

All in favor of sterilization raise your hand...

They should burn her at the stake, very slowly...

Man that's totally F-ed up there.

bryanthompson 11-23-2004 08:11 AM

I wouldn't go so far as to say people should need to get permission or some type of certification to have kids, but I do think that criminals, druggies, and people like this idiot should be sterilized.

Good friend of mine married a woman 20 years ago or so... happy for the first 5-7 years then she started changing (hell, we all change) and he found out that she had a boyfriend on the side. She realized that she had several ways out of this...

First was she kept calling the police and saying that he had abused her. After over 15 calls the cops told her "if you call us again and there are no signs of abuse we will arrest you instead." She then went on a battered womens forum and got some help. Called the cops again and went into the bathroom and busted a towel rack herself. Pointed to it when the cops arrived and they then arrested my friend and threw him in jail for 3 days.

When he returned she apologised and then things got real hazy in his life. Turns out that she was drugging my friend by putting something in his food. He fought off dying for 20 days or so but survived. When that did not work she ended up meeting him at home when he returned late one night and beat him half to death with a baseball bat, with a little assistance from her boyfriend. He was then in the hospital with a coma for 17 days. Through the episode he lost much of his short term memory, along with it the beating until when his neighbours started asking him questions months later.

When he returned home the house had been sold. She forged his signature on the paperwork and sold the majority of the contents. He has some evidence of what happened but much of it was destroyed by the woman and the local police say he is a criminal because he abused his wife and refuse to listen to him or the neighbours.

Women aint the "weaker sex" and only act like that when they want something...

"In January, the agency was called to the home after Schlosser was seen running down the street, with one of her daughters bicycling after her, authorities said. When officials arrived, the child told them her mother had left her 6-day-old sister alone in the apartment.

Schlosser appeared at the time to be suffering from postpartum depression and having a psychotic episode, Gonzales said."

Is there something that people can sign so that if this ever happens to them, they will be removed from society? Or at least the protection of innocent childeren

Why not? You need a licence to drive a car, or even to catch a fish. I'm not suggesting it either, but think about how important and sacred the act of bringing life into this world is. The most precious commodity, squandered by the algae floating around the world's gene pool.

One thing that really pisses me off is this woman is considered a "victim" or a "sufferer" of post partum. If the father had commited the offense towards the child he would be a murderer. Men can suffer from depression or mental illness also but they are labled only by the offense they commit.

Lots of stuff does seem to happen down in Texas..doesn't it?

KevinP73 11-23-2004 01:09 PM

Also it appears NBC News can't get their story straight.

The woman called 911 and the baby later died at the hospital. KXAS-TV’s Randy McIlwain reports.
NBC News
but in the article they say
Day-care workers called 911 after talking to the mother; an operator then called Schlosser. .
She didn't even make an effort to call for help. There is no telling how long the 11month old child layed in her crib bleeding to death while mom sat listening to hymns.

Can we consider that women as a good pro-choice argument ?

A VERY GOOD argument. Although it seems, as George Carlin put it " why is it all of the pro-life wemon are people you wouldn't want to sick your dick in if your life depended on it?"

Apperently the father's life depended on her!?

AFJuvat 11-23-2004 06:42 PM

she should be staked out and fed to fire ants.

Some hard core junk for sure - Texas has it's share for sure but it is not alone Tabias. Will agree, this big state has some great people but also a few wack jobs that exceed known levels.

What did this woman have - Munchheuser (sp) syndrome? Way messed up!

Some random thoughts:
"ATTENTION! There is no lifeguard on duty in the gene pool"
You can talk revenge and retribution all you want, but it won't help that little girl. Mental illness is sickness.
In western society, we protect our members who ail and help them recover if they can and adapt if they fail to make a full recovery. Others are just sheltered and helped along so that they too may be "productive" members of society. In doing so, we have accepted the consequences that some of these persons may pass on their condition to their children. I suppose within a few years, some legislator will come up with a bill for genetic screening to ensure hazardous genetic conditions are not passed on to future generations. Then the comparisons to A. Hitler will start.
Where do we draw the line? Do we look at some persons and say,"I'm sorry. Your child, if conceived/born, will be a detriment to society?" That sort of thinking goes against so much of what we have been taught. I do not wish to sit in judgement.

She has no business continuing to live.

cstreit 11-24-2004 07:29 AM

More distrubing is this:

"Child-protective officials were interviewing Schlosser’s daughters and would talk to the father before deciding whether to remove the girls from the home."

This was AFTER the incident... They're thinking this is a ONE-TIME thing? I hope someone gets the girls out of there. The husband should have them gone now!

hey, hey, hey?

If it weren't for drugs and alcholo most of us wouldn't be here today. Soon that lists goes to including ethnic backgrounds and religious cults added on?

Second criminals, hey dude, everyone deserves a 2nd chance in life. Ever speed, drive home after drinking too many, you paid for every CD and software in your home?

The nazi wanted to sterilize the bad people too.

I would agree to get a licence to have kids only to weed out genetic defects and retardations to take the burden off the system.

As for this women, I expect NOW or some lesbian group to defend her and pay shrinks to say he has a mental 'condition'. She'll do 10 years and be interviewed on 20/20 as a 'victim'.
Where a man will get the electric chair for the same crime.

Although I am not armed with names and case numbers, this has already been done many times. Thats why the term "postpartum" even exists. It's to provide some sick ***** with an excuse for her actions. My point is that if it were the father who murdered the child there would be absolutely NO excuse or "illness" he could offer for a defense.
