Remember the movie called "Office Space," with the manager who drove a 911SC? I think his name was Lumberg or similar.

"Uh, yeah."

"I'm gonna need you to come in again this weekend"

He walked around with a coffee cup and just talked over his staff.

Well, I manage a staff of Network Admins and Help Desk people, and I just asked a guy,

"Did you get the memo?"
And I had a cup of coffee in my hand.

All i gotta say is the white dude in the car listening to rap and the black dude walks by and he turns it down. Then he turns it back up after passing the black guy. Classic scene!

Hahaha! that's awesome, man! A guy I used to work with was exactly like Lumberg, and then one day he watched the movie on Comedy Central and totally went nuts! Okay, so that didn't happen, but it'd be hilarious if it did!

Loved the movie, hated the music. The movie really captured the bureaucratic office environment the same way "Spinal Tap" skewered the rock music scene.

One of my favorite movies... Actualyl helped convince me to get out of big-corporate work. I worked for a Lumberg... I remember people getting into arguments because I got a chair with ARMS and I was a new guy...

My old boss WAS Lumberg.. Looked just like him, talked just like him, wore the suspenders and had the shirts with the opposing colored collars and cuffs..

It's funny how accuratley that movie nailed the weird tech company office enviroment.

I actually find myself wandering around with my Porsche crest coffee cup all the time. I periodically say things like "Yeah, um, you know it'd be really great if you could do such-and-such." Ew, I disgust myself. And I don't even get to have Jenifer Anniston! :(
