[w/ liberal slant]Lies!
The "Aircraftcarrier" was just an elaborate set, built in a giant "bath-tub" by Haliburton to give the illusion that GW flew a fighter onto her deck. (you can even see where the guide-wire was edited out of the video.) Of course we all know GW is too stupid and missed too many flight instructions . . .and looks too much like a chimp to have ever been able to fly any aircraft, let-alone copilot one.[/ liberal slant]

The only reason he flew out there on a plane was that the secret service did not feel that it was safe enough to be that far out to sea in a helo. First choice of airplanes was evidently a F-18 but the SS could not "ride along" so another plane that had more than two seats was chosen.
Considering that President Bush flew over to Iraq last Thanksgiving to visit the troops, he was close enough to "the action" for most people. Joe A

Had Al Gore been the guy, the story would have been how he chose the more fuel-efficient aircraft. . . .with internet hook-up.
