I thought the one below was bigger until I saw Paul Allen's boat next to the cruise ship. Damn he's got too much money. I wonder what the monthly maintenance costs are for the thing,

Ya Paul is worth around $25 billion I read that it cost's him $375,000 to fill it up with fuel,it also has a top speed of 20 plus knots, pretty good for a 413 foot long 6 story high building!

Oracle prices are so damn high these days, it often is more than the cost of the software it supports...

Why is Paul Allen's boat not operating under the US flag????

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul!

I've seen her in person over at the passenger ship terminals, near the USS Intrepid. Impressive only in size, and the number of other boats piled on the fantail.

I'm not much of a naval arc purist, but she looks like she was originally something else, like a fishing trawler or something.

Plus being Paul Allen's boat she lists to the left permanently. . .

I think this is Craig McCaw's boat. Only two things I know of interest: 1) A fully rigged 47 ft sloop as a kicker boat and 2) the presence of a fully gimballed room for his kids to play in. I guess he does not want them to get seasick when out on the high seas.

What would really suck is getting lost in that thing. But for the kids, that would be some awesome hid-n-go-seek.

IF you've got that much money, why not? The saying "whatever floats your boat" comes to mind.

Tabs,

I fly for a guy like that. His favourite motto is "I never met a buffet that I did not like!"

Even nicer about the guy is that he is a regular guy and really takes care of us, but unfortunately does not care one bit for cars. For him they just get him from point A to point B.... At least he likes planes!

I've been on a similar boat in Mayorca back in late 80's.
It was Trumps, and had a huge crew on it.
I think he ended up selling it.

I like the late Aristotle Onassis' boat the Christina O. It has a touch of class that's lacking in Paul Allen's yacht IMHO

touch of class that's lacking !?

IMO, Allen is pretty classy. His primary residence/compound, for example isn't some showy eye-sore. Same with that ship of his. Understated exterior, uber-tech interior.

What is "classy" about shouting; HEY! . . EVERYBODY .. . LOOK AT ME! (?)
