Wanted: Experienced Apparel Sales Reps
Thought I'd post our help wanted ad here too, if you know of anyone, please have them contact me at jobs@g9girl.com.
G9Girl (www.g9girl.com) is now looking for sales representatives experienced with tween to teen girl’s apparel and accessories to sell to retail stores, large and small, throughout the country. Our requirements are that you have verifiable experience in the wholesale business selling to retail stores. Southeast, Southern and Southwest territories in the US are open now. Our commission rate is 15% paid on shipped orders the 20th of every month, and our minimum purchase from retail stores is 8 units. They can be different items and sizes or colors, anyway they like. A complete sales kit and samples with all detailed information will be provided. Junior positions reporting into West and East Coast Managers are also open. First 45 days is provisional, after which time a base package and ESOP may be offered. These are pretty much "write your own ticket" positions analogous to getting in on the ground floor of Paul Frank, Roxy, etc.

Interesting concept. I was approached with something similar last year only dealing with ethnic girls mainly african american and latin designs. I have noticed in my screen printing business that the past few years have seen a shift to more young girls coming in with orders. I would say they outnumber the guys by 4 to 1. There should be a market for these, good luck with the venture.
Are you using American Apparel shirts? Just curious? |

Hey Craig,
Yes, we are relabeling many styles in the Classic Girl line. Great selection, colors, service, USA-sweatshop free. Just wish they were half the price! I don't have the exact figures onhand, but tween girls are spending in the billions! we've had great success with random test distribution acorss the US, (100% favorable response) web is churning out a few orders every day with no traffic drivers, and we are finally ready to take it the next level. I am flying out to SF Bay area on Friday to hire our West Coast Sales Manager. the real fun will be when we get our PR campaign with philanthropic message put together this month. March next year (magazines anyway) should be a great month for us. not sure if we'll hit Paul Frank or Hello Kitty status, but there's so much room for growth both vertically and horizontally. hope to launch a book series next summer.

I may be able to help out with boutique sales in Orange County... My wife works in hair and fashion and does fashion design as a side hobby/business. We know most of the boutique owners in our area.
Get in touch if you're interested. JCM
