euPod for iPod
In addition to the lousy earbuds supplied with the iPod my only other complaint is the volume. There isn't any! I can turn my volume up all the way and it is loud, but not objectionable. I loaded free euPod software and HOLY CRAP. I set it for a 60% increase and it is unbearably loud at only half volume. I have to go back and reindex it to something lower! Great piece of software. Also has a cool numerical battery life indicator.

Try the Sony fonotopias-they fit inside the ear canal rather than over the top-very comfy, and real bass. Only downside, if it is one, is that they make it much harder to hear ambient stuff if you're in an environment where that's important.
That Ipod program is very cool-I just got a Creative Zen 20 gig-and have the same complaint about the ultimate volume level-wish someone had a patch. I think the lawyers foisted this on them. BTW, Creative blows out refurbs on ebay for $130 for a 20 gig player-yeah, their software isn't as cool as Itunes, but its usable. Only downer is no on the fly playlists, but I use mine for mostly live shows. Battery life is a good 12-14hrs, and they drop right in, as opposed to the ipod. |
I use Sony Noise Cancelling in ear headphones which I like quite a lot.
Anyway to increase caapcity??? I have a 40 GB and still have over half my CD collection which I can't fit into it. Thanks for the link! |
On the Ipod subject, is there a way to convert formats after ripping a cd into Itunes?
I changed to apple lossless and can't fit my tunes intot he Ipod anymore. I'd rather convert them than re-import them in the smaller (regular) format. HELP! |
