There is a previous thread about tattoos and in it is a pic of one guy with a crest on his shoulder and another with the crest on the outside of his lower leg.

I was in the USN for nine years and never got a tattoo. Never liked them and others can choose to do what they want, but they're too "permanent" for me!

Wish I could find that quote from a HD exec talking about brand recognition, and how HD didn't need to improve it. Heck, they got guys/gals tattooing their logo on their foreheads.

/damm you google for letting me down...

I think you guys are talking about Cain Devore having a Porsche Crest tattooed on his back...that picture was posted on the Registry Board a year or two ago...to the ouuuus and ahhhs of the correspondentson that Board.

Personally I think tattoos are like Graffitti on your body... something that I would never do....and as you age they tend to sag when you sag and the colours blur...so all these young girls who have them are going to look like ***** when they hit 40....Whats amazing to me are the OLd and I mean old ladys who have them.....to me theres nothing appealing about a 70 year old woman with a tattoo on her breast and these old ladys look like they just came from my trailer park as it is...

You know your a low life when you consider the people you meet at the trailer park HIgh Class.

When I'm old I probably won't care about the stuff on my body. I'll probably be more worried about pissing my pants in public if I cough to hard. Or remembering to take my medications

i quite agree that getting a tattoo should be taken rather seriously.. i wanted mine for something like 8 years. after that amount of time had passed, was then confident to get it. the artwork is also my own which was another aspect that added to my confidence. no regrets yet.. no pressing need to get another.

sorry if this is a repost of topic..

That's why you need to get them when you are young, so you can enjoy them longer.

Is the lack of a tattoo really going to make a difference?

I think it's cool when people make a personal statement that they think is worthy of permanence and in some cases (Vets, for example) it's a reminder of the times. Doesn't matter if you're 70. Being old isn't all about conforming or being dignified, we're mostly just kids trapped in various aged bodies, anyway.
