^^^^ what about a place that copies/prints blueprints?
You might try an architectural office as well. |
Google 80's Maxell Poster. The Pelican threads on this subject show up on the
first page. |

And FWIW, I was not looking to violate any copyrights. In fact, I don't know when to be concerned about that or not. So I appreciate the warning - and if anyone can help with the method and/or the law, lemme know! |

I also got one on ebay several years ago - $40 the frame was $200. |

The old rule of thumb, if it was created, it is copyrighted. Our shop would have never scanned it for you. I bet in the bottom corner there is a clear copyright statement right on the poster. I understand you want a copy and not to sell it. To keep it 100% legal, buy the poster from a legitimate source. |
Good thing no one here ever dubbed a tape of their favorites, let alone a Maxell !

Copying music or a CD is for friends is almost impossible to go after since there is usually no profit, and it is hard to prove where it was done. I have no skin in the game here. I am just suggesting any shop that sees the poster will refuse it. Maybe your luck will be different. |
I own a copy shop and would have no problem scanning or copying anything.
I would ask if this was for personal use though. |

There are a number for sale right now at under 200 USD.
Seems fair to me. |
I frame and sell these. I have 2 of the Weaver Gallery Porsche Blown Away, 1 Weaver Gallery Man in Chair Blown Away and 1 Maxell Mail-away Poster. Very nicely framed.
I usually just post them for sale on SecondMoonshot.com and on eBay. I do the Weaver Gallery ones and also frame the 2 page ads which is very popular entry point. Value on these are moving nicely up. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1737581158.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1737581158.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1737581158.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1737581158.jpg John Leschak Owner, SecondMoonshot Custom Picture Framing Porsche owner/enthousiast (2016 911 4S & 1976 911S Targa). |

I'll never understand the huge interest in these posters. Who uses Maxell tapes anymore?
I cringe when I see that top flying off knowing that it'll cost $16K at least to replace it. |
