Need help from art buyers.
A friend of mine, an artist has recently been left widowed. Her sole source of income is now from selling her work. She's already well known and quite established. However, she now needs to start marketing her work more proactively. Her pieces are typically valued according to type from 500 euros for the small simple ones, to 25,000 euros for the larger more elaborate pieces.
If anyone has any firsthand experience with any artgalleries and could reccommend them, providing the galleries contact details so we can approach them, it would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

I would try a shotgun approach at first....try all the major galleries / promient ones...show the work, the track record, and see if they will give a show....What you need is that first gallery to open the door...the more prestigious the better.
I know a woman that has bought the estate of a dead artist that had some auction records, some major shows while alive. She even wrote a book on him and had it published...and just being associated with her is to know it is a tough business to break into.. As a art collector I mostly deal with dead artists....the value of an artists work is generally what his works sell for at auction.
