Napoleon Dynamite

We just bought the Napoleon Dynamite DVD after a good friend recommended it. Our while family watched it and loved it. Kind of a cross between "Raising Arizona" and "Waiting for Guffman". A very strange but funny movie. Anyone else seen it??

Yeah I saw it. I am still scratching my head as to where it started and where it was taking me. For a "stream of consciousness" movie it was ok. I got the point of the the young man looking for how he fits in but the story could have been told better.

As a fer instance.. I dislike that I do not know why/how he got to where he was in that house with his brother. In less than 5 minutes they could have illuminated this detail and made a stronger story.

I dunno,

Thought it was one of those movies where it was all stream of conciousness and nothing was really developed, you just observed and made your own conclusions...

Definitely had funny moments but I think it had a lot more potential because the characters were so deliberately dull that a little TOO much was left to your imagination.

i liked it, but not as much as i thought i would

I found it even funnier the second time we watched it. It's nice to be able to enjoy a movie as a family and not have to worry about things the kids shouldn't see/hear. We went to the theatre and saw "The Incredibles" last night and it was terrific.
