Seattle signed Adrian Beltre to a large contract - he came from the LA Dodgers.
One thing I wonder about.....if the Dodgers are the big spenders one hears they are, and Beltre was the best free agent player....then WHY did the Dodgers 'let him go'? Of course, the media hardly ever says why a player didn't re-sign with a team.... Thoughts?

the dodgers big spenders? not anymore (and they never did spend smart anyway) , the owner frank mccord is running that team into the ground. they let beltre get away, and are about to spend part of his money on JD Drew, whom is injured more than in the lineup. they are trying to trade their best player after beltre in shawn green because he makes 16m a season. mccord is driving the dodgers into the ground. seattle is reloading nicely with beltre and richie sexton at the infield corners.
the demise of the dodgers is great, for i am a giants fan.
