Just watched it.. pretty impressive, but I think thye designed the tests for maximum visbility and least damage. Even counting that the car in the sea was impressive to me.

I had a Chevy Nova like that once. The cylinder head cracked and I drove it like that for a year. We used it to show EMT students how to extricate people from a car (cut it apart with the Hurst tool (Jaws of Life) and it still ran! I gave it to the Marines at Camp Pendleton where I was stationed to put it on the artillery range and they blew it up. The Marines said after two hits, the engine still ran!!
