Shipping to Canada- Individual
Hi,
I have read many complaints about excessive customs and shipping charges on shipments to Canada, so I thought I would post my question here. What's the best way to send a package to my dad in Canada? He is in the boonies of Eastern BC. Value of the stuff would be about $250. Thanks,

I usually send stuff overseas via the US Mail. Postal systems around the world are more forgiving of private packages. When you send things by UPS or FedEx, things can get bogged down by needing formal customs clearance & duties.

whatever you do - do not use UPS or FedEX - regular mail has always worked out best for me.

Be sure to lable it as a "gift" otherwise he will have to pay tax on the value.
