You posted trophy photos of a kill. You people treat muslims like animals for slaughter and laugher. This is one of the sickest groups of people on a BB I've seen in 10 years.

RedUFO makes lots of assumptions. He must have some alien insight into what is going on in everyones head. Better break out the tin foil hats.

struck a nerve?

There you go again. That alien insight. Only a true space traveler could know that guy grew up on a farm just by looking at his picture. Oh, and you can see what's in my hard drive too...amazing! BTW I am sure that the murderer wearing the bomb vest was just doing it for sport also.

For those of you that don't know the difference.

50 cal round next to a 7mm remington magnum round, i've killed elk with the 7mm, which usually run in the 800lb range. Human is on average less than 200lbs....hmmmm, yea a 50 cal will mess up a human pretty good, without even hitting them. I once heard that a 50 cal round only has to come within 4 feet of a person, and the force will rip off a limb.

Going to have to call BS on that, rip a limb off from the draft @ 4 feet away??

I don't think so, brother. I definitely would not want to actually get hit by one of those, though. Or any other bullet for that matter.

As a very active match shooter, I have had literally tens of thousands of rifle rounds fly over my head over the years. For those of you who don't shoot rifle matches, let me briefly explain. There is a crew manning the targets down range. We are just out of sight below the targets, behind a berm and a concrete wall. The targets are raised up to shoot at and lowered to score them, sliding on vertical rails. The bull is about three to four feet over your head when you are in the "pits". A low miss will clear your head by less than a foot at times. I've heard just about every caliber commonly used in match shooting; mainly .223, .308, .45-70, and .50 BMG. I would defy anyone to tell which is which by the disturbance they make as they pass. At ranges such that they are still flying at supersonic velocities, they all make a rather sharp crack as they fly by. It's darn near as loud as the report from the muzzle as a matter of fact. None will hurt you in any way unless they actually hit you. These are just myths when some one says a round is so powerful that a close miss will hurt you. Hell, I've missed prarie dogs by less that the hair on their chinny-chin-chins, and they stand there unharmed. This is with the .223, .220 Swift, 7mm Remington Mag, .30-06, and the mighty .50 BMG. The next one usually does more harm...

Flint,
For what effect?

Let's turn the tables and imagine you're seeing Tom Smith, all-American young man prone on the ground on NBC Nightly News. What feelings would that arouse in you? Would you be in awe of the enemy sniper and that great shot?

I thought so.

Sherwood
Gee Sherwood
The sucker was a terrorist..complete with suicide belt...you know, the kind of guy that blows innocent women and children into hamburger daily in Iraq. Yep..lets compare him with an All-American. Geez
Besides, any Iraqi nutso enough to consider the arshole anything other than murderous trash....thinks the guy just got a one way ticket to paradise.
I think putting it on Al Jazeera would be a service to parents of young Iraqis who have been sold on the glory of the suicide role. This one picture puts it into perspective. maybe we should make some videos to compete with the current best sellers there of the beheadings of female aid workers.

stirring up the****

The important thing to remember about this guy is,as Flinstone notes, the guy is a murderer. "Mens Rea".. guilty mindset. He has conspired to commit murder and set about with overt actions to commit the crime. The soldiers there from the allied forces are not there to murder people. They are there to protect innocents who have been oppresed and to try to give them a chance a a better life. I doubt that there will be any lasting success though. Some of the other rants on here about hating muslems is just rhetoric. I don't hate them but I do recognize the threat that some of them pose to people of any other faith. It is well documented by their own teachings that infidels that refuse conversion need to be killed. Please don't start with the tired old narratives of how many people have been slaughtered in the name of Christ. It is true, but it is not occuring now and it occured because power hungry people decided to cloak themselves with a"religous" covering to carry out there wicked intentions. I truely belive that: NOT ALL MUSLEMS are this way. I'm sure my neighbor isn't because he is genuinely appaled by the things that go on in the name of Allah. I think, hopefully, that the vast majority are involved in the religon by default or heritage.Churches,Mosques, Synagoges etc. are loaded with people who are clueless about what they supposedly believe.

If you missed 60 minutes - TV show last night, check out the on-line article.

Big Rifle A Terrorist Tool?
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/01/06/60minutes/main665257.shtml
(CBS) California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger decided there’s a weapon that’s too dangerous to be in the hands of private citizens...............................

.................This past week, a new law went into effect in California banning that weapon. It’s the .50-caliber rifle, the Rolls Royce of sniper rifles. It’s a big gun, a favorite of armies around the world, and it’s still available in 49 states in this country to anyone over 18 with a clean record.

Note: My wife wants one, she scares me.

In twenty years or less, that will be obsolete and e-guns or railguns will take favor. Talk about stopping power - project something going close to light speed and now your talking damage. I'm sure the very concern was made with the invention of the revolver, gattling gun or even the cross-bow.
