Computer Question - Email Background
Being in the mortgage biz I wanted to use a background clipart of a Frank Lloyd Wright building as a template. How do I get it sized right? Attached clip is what I might use.

What e-mail program (And what version, too) are you using?

I'd forget the whole idea.
General rule will be, unless the recipient is using the same mail client that you are the background will more than likely get stripped out anyway. A more effective way might be to set it up as html email, most mail clients have "display html" on by default. Scott |
Microsoft Outllook - I think it's office 2000
|
How would I set it up as HTML - I think it might already be.

And more and more sysadmins are sending HTML mail to /dev/null due to all the security issues, etc. associated with Internet Explorer/Outlook/Outlook Express security problems that have cropped up due to "fancy mail". Also, HTML mail is massively bigger than plain text as far as bytes to send/recieve and store goes.
Plain text is the way to go. |
More and more email clients are neutering HTML now, because of various security holes, web bugs, etc.
While it would look really cool, you're just adding useless overhead to each and every message you send. The tag is <body background="image.gif" "bgproperties="fixed" > |
Thanks for the replies - I think.... :)
