web hosting recommendations?

Anyone care to recommend a web host? I'm actually looking for something like UML (user mode linux) so I can have full control over everything. Co-location and dedicated server is too much for my needs (and wallet) but if anyone has a recommendation, I'd love to hear it.

I use ci-host for myself and several clients.

Have been with them since 98' and am pleased.

Look for their special deals.
