Anyone have a subscription to TIME?

There is a cover story I want to read and possibly use for an article I am writing; I want to see if it's worth it.

http://www.time.com/time/covers/1101050124/story.html

Can any subscribers possibly cut-and-paste the full text for me?

Thanks in advance?

There must be some store near Bristol, CT that sells this week's edition of Time magazine. If you're poor the library probably has them, I'm pretty sure mine does.

ugh why do people have to be so difficult?

If it comes to that, I will go out and buy it. But if I have the opportunity to read the article because someone was nice enough to put it up here, why would I bother changing out of my pajamas (it's my day off), go out into the 10 degree weather, just to read an article that I might not end up using?

If anyone has access to the website, I would be most appreciative.

Some would consider it as "being difficult" while others would see it as stealing...

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

but would it still be considered stealing if you were to physically lend him the magazine?

CJFusco 01-18-2005 10:31 AM

yeah, what if I went to Barnes and Noble and just read the magazine right there? Or read it for free at the library? Or what if a friend of mine said, "Oh, I have this article that you would really be interested in," and clipped it out for me?

Sometimes I wonder why people feel the need to get pointlessly righteous about things. If you don't want to help me out, fine... but telling me that asking for a cut-and-paste of an online magazine article is stealing seems a bit overkill.

slooow day on the OT

ChrisBennet 01-18-2005 10:50 AM

Yeah, now a days it probably seems righteous because people are so used to stealing music over the internet that they've forgotten what stealing is.
They say everyone has their price. You can rationalize it all you want but it sounds to me like you're setting the price of your integrity way too low (the cost of a visit to the library).
You're right about the weather today though, brrrrr!

" It puts the lotion in the basket!":p

The ironic coda to this sordid little tale is that the issue of TIME in question isn't even on the newsstands yet... so the ONLY place to get the information right now is over the internet.
