I don't think Ferrari etc. actually win any customers at the autoshows.
Detroit just has a much bigger rep in the industry for the OEM's. It is considered a mojor show, more activity fromthe OEMs than fom the dealers. I took some pictures of the 55 spyder bu tthey are at work I will try to post them later. Mike

Exactly, you don't sell cars at an auto show. But you do get your pics and writeups for mags at one. Journalists from all over the world come to Detroit, that's why the cars are there.
