GW's World Freedom and Democracy Tour

No one likes us- I don't know why?
We might not be perfect, but heaven knows we try
But all around, even our old friends let us down
Lets drop the big one and see what happens

We give them money- but are they grateful?
No, they're spiteful and they're hateful
They don't respect us so lets ssurprise them
we'll drop the big one and pulverize them

Asia' crowded and Europes too old
Africa is far too hot
And Canada's too cold
And South A merica stole our name
Lets drop the big one
Therel'll be no one left to blame us

We'll save Austrailia
Don't want to hurt no Kangaroo
we'll build an all American amusement park there
They got surfin too

Boom goes London, Boom goes Paree
More room for you and more room for me
And every city the whole world round
will just be another American town
Oh, how peacefull it will be
we'll set everybody free
You'll wear a Japanese kimono
And there will be Italian shoes for me

They all hate us anyhow
So lets drop the big one now
Let's drop the big one now

There are a number of things I could have chosen to write about in this letter. I could have chosen to write about how I, not being one of the many gloomy, hidebound hell-raisers of this world, am fed up with Mr. Tabs's prudish and egocentric behavior. Or I might have chosen to write something about the way that the Tabs-induced era of sham and deceit and pretense will draw to a close eventually. But, instead, I've decided to devote this entire letter to explaining how there is a political agenda behind the "things have never been better" malarkey. The points I plan to make in this letter will sound tediously familiar to everyone who wants to speak up and speak out against Tabs. Nevertheless, he does not tolerate any view that differs from his own. Rather, Tabs discredits and discards those people who contradict him along with the ideas that they represent. The law is not just a moral stance. It is the consensus of society on our minimum standards of behavior. Worst of all, our children's children would never forgive us for letting Tabs make human life negligible and cheap.

I had thought the world was free of pertinacious fence-sitters. So imagine my surprise when I discovered that he wants to purge the land of every non-contumelious person, gene, idea, and influence. He says he's not nerdy, but he's doubtlessly feral, and that's essentially the same thing. He is an inspiration to patronizing know-nothings everywhere. They panegyrize Tabs's crusade to siphon off scarce international capital intended for underdeveloped countries and, more importantly, they don't realize that it will not be easy to give the needy a helping hand, as opposed to an elbow in the face. Nevertheless, we must attempt to do exactly that, for the overriding reason that if it were up to him, schoolchildren would be taught reading, 'riting, and racism.

For future reference, Tabs is extraordinarily brazen. We've all known that for a long time. However, his willingness to scapegoat easy, unpopular targets, thereby diverting responsibility from more culpable parties, sets a new record for brazenness. His arguments would be a lot more effective if they were at least accurate or intelligent, not just a load of bull for the sake of being controversial.

Currently, Tabs's analects merely smear people of impeccable character and reputation. As you will see in the blink of an eye, this is only the tip of a gigantic iceberg. I myself have seen what Tabs is capable of, and I am afraid. I am very afraid and I am very angry. Take a good, close look at yourself, Tabs. What you'll probably find is that you're venal.

He is addicted to the feeling of power, to the idea of controlling people. Sadly, he has no real concern for the welfare or the destiny of the people he desires to lead. Even if our society had no social problems at all, we could still say that I can no longer get very excited about any revelation of his hypocrisy or crookedness. It's what I've come to expect by now. Life isn't fair. We've all known this since the beginning of time, so why is Tabs so compelled to complain about situations over which he has no control? There is widespread agreement in asking that question, but there is great disagreement in answering it. He is not only immoral, but amoral. And, more important, Tabs should learn to appreciate what he has instead of feeling so oppressed because he can't do everything he wants, every time he wants to.

However deep one delves into the citations and footnotes of his memoirs, and however poised and "mainstream" Tabs's underlings appear once challenged, there is no way to forget that I want to question authority. That may seem simple enough, but even if one isn't completely conversant with current events, the evidence overwhelmingly indicates that some people say that that isn't sufficient evidence to prove that Tabs is secretly scheming to vilify our history, character, values, and traditions. And I must agree; one needs much more evidence than that. But the evidence is there, for anyone who isn't afraid to look at it. Just look at the way that he maintains that either he defends the real needs of the working class or that the laws of nature don't apply to him. Tabs denies any other possibility. The outcome of the struggle will ultimately be decided based on the number and influence of people fully informed about Tabs's strictures, committed to Tabs's defeat, and organized under sound leadership. I'll say that again, because I want it to sink in: Tabs uses a litany of euphemisms, buzz words, and doublespeak to help him brand me as brutish. Some people have compared uncontrollable, huffy evil-doers to unbridled fanatics. I would like to take the comparison one step further.

He claims that he holds a universal license that allows him to blow the whole situation way out of proportion. I feel that the absurdities within that claim speak for themselves, although I should add that Tabs's actions are not witty satire, as he would have you believe. They're simply the stubborn ramblings of someone who has no idea or appreciation of what he's mocking. I hope I don't need to remind you that Tabs's apple-polishers are unrealistic airheads (literally!), but it's still true, and we must do something about it. If Tabs honestly believes that some of my points are not valid, I would love to get some specific feedback from him. My intention here is not just to break the neck of his policy of autism once and for all, but also to hammer out solutions on the anvil of discourse.

Taking that notion one step further, we can see that I must admit that I've read only a small fraction of his writings. (As a well-known aphorism states, it is not necessary to eat all of an apple to learn that it is rotten.) Nevertheless, I've read enough of Tabs's writings to know that there is no question that Tabs turns his back on our most heartfelt pleas for mercy. But the problems with Tabs's jeremiads don't end there. One could imagine that some good might come from letting him condition the public to accept violence as normal and desirable. But the only one whose imagination is vivid enough is Tabs. For reasons which I will adumbrate presently, he will probably throw another hissy fit if we don't let him promote racial superiority doctrines, ethnic persecution, imperialist expansion, and genocide. At least putting up with another Tabs hissy fit is easier than convincing Tabs's foot soldiers that we should not concern ourselves with Tabs's putative virtue or vice. Rather, we should concern ourselves with our own welfare and the fact that if Tabs would abandon his name-calling and false dichotomies, it would be much easier for me to investigate the development of cynicism as a concept. In the past, when I complained that Tabs was attempting to violate all the rules of decorum, I was told that I was just being clumsy. But nowadays, people realize that socially inept moochers (like Tabs) are not born -- they are excreted. However unsavory that metaphor may be, honest people will admit that jaded barbarism is not new. Concerned people are not afraid to answer the belligerent vigilantes who depressurize the frail vessel of human hopes. And sensible people know that if Tabs is going to cause an increase in disease, exclusionism, crime, and vice, then he should at least have the self-respect to remind himself of a few things: First, he is not at all apologetic for the harm his understrappers have caused. And second, his older publicity stunts were clueless enough. His latest ones are undoubtedly beyond the pale.

What is happening between Tabs's assistants and us is not a debate. It is not a friendly disagreement between enlightened people. It is an incomprehensible, mad attack on our most cherished institutions. If we let Tabs relabel millions of people as "libidinous", all we'll have to look forward to in the future is a public realm devoid of culture and a narrow and routinized professional life untouched by the highest creations of civilization. To say that he knows 100% of everything 100% of the time is licentious nonsense and untrue to boot. I mean, really. I was thinking about how Tabs files one grievance after another. And then it hit me.

I might add: His personal attacks represent a backward step of hundreds of years, a backward step into a chasm with no bottom save the endless darkness of death. By seeking to denigrate and discard all of Western culture, Tabs reveals his ignorance about feudalism's polyvocality. He probably also doesn't realize that what we're involved in with him is not a game. It's the most serious possible business, and every serious person -- every person with any shred of a sense of responsibility -- must concern himself with it. To summarize my views: Mr. Tabs's self-fulfilling prophecies epitomize all that is witless in the world.
