Ferrari $295,000.00 garbage on it - FREE..
|
I bet that the junk is hiding the hideous condition of the paint and body. Just look at the condition of that car from the rear in the trailer. Its pretty obvious that they have taken it out from under the junk, but do not care to show unobstructed pics from the front.
Chances are they paid too much and now realize its a basket case. |
It doesn't matter if it's a basket case - it's a 275GTB. Kind of the 911RS Carrera of Ferrari. A restored four cam version of this car could be worth $4-500,000. It is one of the most desirable and rare Ferrari's.
Designed, built, and sold before Enzo died with a LeMans winning V12 engine in a handcrafted alloy body that could be driven on the street to a track - win a race - and driven home. Incredible find. |
Well the rarer it is the more it's going to cost to resto it.
Starting bid is 300k, that leaves you 100k to work with. Not a lot of money to do it right and fetch the higher price. If it's just cosmetics and interior maybe less but I have a feeling it needs more than the eye can see. Scott |
The "handcrafted alloy body" will have to be "handcrafted" again. Very, very pricey!
|
Wish I had the money to buy it. Oh, I wouldn't buy it...just wish I had the money to do so. ;)
|
Should I make the first bid???
|
Someone should get it back on the road and just drive it the way it is, that would be hot. :D
Maybe dress like a bum and park it in Palo Alto or something, pretend that you're a crazy homeless person, do some panhandling but refuse to entertain any offers from the Ferrari people who come around. That crowd is so anal and OCD, someone would have an aneurism over it. Same thing would work w/ a ratty Carrera RS, come to think of it. I worked for a guy w/ a zillion dollar Ferrari collection back in high school, I've never seen people have less fun owning cars than these sissies. The freakin' Fiat/Simca club must be a Greek orgy in comparison. |
looks like cookie cutter wheels ......
|
I'll bid on it only if he throws in the piece of sheetrock laying against it.
