Leaving your Porsche in the street to get plowed in like that is a hangin offense in some parts.SmileWavy

Suprised it did not get towed, looks like your parked in a snow emergency route.

Is that sign photoshopped in?

Lets hope that at least it's in salt-free part of the snow belt.

rcecale 01-23-2005 12:08 PM

Tis the season to be driving a Red Targa - Please check rearview mirror in picture for proof that the top is off in January and 80°F.

Uggh. How could you DO that? I weep for your car. Btw-I saved the pic as a reminder (as if I need one) of what not to do to my 911:( .

PS-That is a pretty cool pic despite all of the above:).

You guys are all garage queen wussies! :) :) :)

and let's get something straight right now. This car rocks. It's got 239K miles on it, motor's never been opened, a suspension that would make you wet yourself, very little interior save for the Momo fixed backs, Prototypo and BK harness bar with Simpson belts and it's better cared for mechanically than 90% of the cars on the board.

Cosmetically, it's a 5. Mechanically it's a 10 and used as such as a daily driver with the tach rarely seeing 3K.

So all you nancy-boys can go back to your Zano, Lexol and diaper cloths and leave me alone, I just got back in from uncovering some little old ladies Tercel so she can make it Mass General tomorrow morning. :D

Is there such a thing as a Porsche rescue?:D

WOW! That snow melted really quickly :D

That looked like my Crown Vic this morning. There was no one parked behind me so I turned off the traction control and nailed it it reverse. Everyone nearby got a kick out of it. I even had someone clapping. Then I went to find a clear parking spot someone else dug out. Since I don't live in a residential neighborhood, I can get away with that w/o someone slashing my tires. Just alot of people coming and going.

Sounds like my kind of car. :)

I hope that comment about the tach rarely seeing 3k in daily driving meant that the tach rarely Dropped to 3k.......... :p

mikester 01-23-2005 05:19 PM

Seriously. My tach sees 3k all the time. If you're not driving it like you stole it more than "rarely" you might as well sell it.

yes, yes, it's a quick hello and goodbye as the needle sweeps past in first gear, it doesn't come down much after that.

which means that every time it rains, my car sustains more damage than any amount of snow could do, even with the few drain holes I drilled. :)

It may go hardtop cab this summer, we'll see.

Moses, someday I'll actually install those perfect door pockets I bought from you a year or 2 ago.

Can't you clearly see the "No Parking" Sign...

That sign only applies to the "other" people.

No, this being Mass, they put that sign *everywhere* whenever no other sign can be put up..... (m*********s  )

vash 01-25-2005 12:37 PM

is that snow from the sky, or did a snowblower toss all that onto your car?

i gotta admire you guys in the cold weather. i dont even understand how you dress for work and stuff. longjohns under suits? or you change at work? i dont get it. construction jobs go on hold during the freeze?

still considering the big picture, a yearly freeze is better than the mother of all earthquakes ready to shake my home to the foundation. gulp!

}{arlequin 01-25-2005 01:17 PM

I believe the snow's OEM....

It was 2-3 feet, w/ 6-7 foot snowdrifts. The city gave up on plowing by midnight b/c they couldn't keep up and it was not going to be effective. It was so much snow that on Saturday they already knew the schools would be closed Monday and Tuesday, knowing full well they couldn't take care of it in 3 days' time.

Wonder what the ski resorts looked like...
