Ford F150 Dash Lights

I'm sorry for reposting this here. I posted it in the appropriate section and got no response. I've noticed a lot of you in this forum have F150s too, so I thought maybe I'd get a response.

I bought new dash lights for my F150, but I can't figure out for the life of me how to install them. I unscrewed every visible screw around the gauge cluster, and even with all of them out, nothing would come loose. Taking the guages out of my 944 is much easier...

Any ideas?

Aside from doing the brakes, changing the air filter, I try to avoid anything else on my F150.

You are a brave man...Good Luck

I don't get it....unless you're referring to the recent recall.

Should have written, Patient Man, I get too frustrated with these monsters. A while back, I had an ac issue. I posted the symptons on the F150 site. I got a Ford Factory Technician reply and he told me what was required, basically 8 hours to remove the dash and get to the unit and replace a plastic flap...after obtaining schematics, I was planning to do the repair one weekend. A friend borrowed the truck, brought it back, "Oh, I fixed the broken ac dash switch for ya" "the old one was cracked and didnt allow you to turn down the temp..."

The point is, 8 hours to remove the dash and get to the part, tells me, that the dash is going to take you a bit of time to remove...

Good Luck

To change one little light bulb that lights my gauges?

What a pain! I thought domestics were easier to work on!

I'm sure the dealership would charge me $400 for it. That seems to be the going rate for any repair I've needed.
