Online Guitar Merchants?
I know some of you all play... I wanted to get an Acoustic/Electric 5 string Bass and wanted to see if anyone had a recommended site to buy online. It's been so long since I bought a new guitar the web was in its infancy.
My plan is to find something mass produced and affordable I like in a store and price shop on line. Anyone have a suggestion?

Unless you've already done so, I recommend you seek out a local retailer and try one on for size first. An instrument is a very personal thing. What works for one person doesn't necessarily work for another. I think there's a Guitar Center in Springfield where Veneman's used to be (I bought my first guitars in that store back in the '70's!). They or Sam Ash have a good selection and good prices. They're both online if you want to shop before you drop.

I've purchased several drumsets (vintage Slingerland and Roland VPro) and a beautiful Parker Fly guitar on eBay. The Parker Fly was given to our music minister at church and he's very happy with it. There are alot of good music gear dealers on eBay, just do your research and check them out first.

Jay,
I agree, I love the acoustic sound, but the electronic Roland set is better for playing at church. Having both is the best way to go! I'll upgrade the TDW-10 one of these days, but for now it's great! I need to get a replacement speaker for my monitor (Roland PM-10) and I can't seem to find one.

Jay,
Beautiful 964! My next Porsche will be a 964. Looks like you also play a Tama set.
