Appliance Repair Forum

I need to Troubleshoot my Maytag washers Timer to make sure that is the problem before I replace it.
Anyone know of a good site for the DIY repair.

Thumbs up

Try these:

Good luck.

ps My Kenmore washer/dryer set was purchased by my home's previous owner in Aug. '58. Both are still rockin' 'n rollin'. I machined a (NLA) bearing a few years ago for the dryer drum shaft. Entertaining for me to see how long these rigs will last.

I fixed a couple of dryers / washers in the past. I was really surprised at how willing the local parts supply people were to help troubleshoot my problem.

Just another angle to consider.

Most washers and dryers (excepting the multiple finger timer nightmares) are fairly straightforward; not much to go wrong. Most repair shops have the factory manuals and most of them contain a troubleshooting section. Ifyou buy your parts from them, they ae generally willing to let you see the manual.

Check out www.repairclinic.com for parts, they're very thorough and ship parts fast. I'm not affiliated with them in any way, just a satisfied customer...
