Not sure why other people get riled, but for me, I don't like people trying to foist their religious beliefs on me. Especially long winded ones that suck up bandwidth.

My relationship with God is quite specific, personal and unflappable. Posts like the one that started this thread smack of the mentality that spawned the crusades-another in a long line of black marks on so called Christianity. Like you said-it just serves to undermine true Christianity.

Seriously guys, don't be too hard on the Christians, ok? There are many rooms in my Father's house. Some of them are reserved for obnoxious loudmouths. Some are reserved for gentler souls. I hope there are more than a few for those who believe the perfect fusion of form and function on earth is an aircooled 911 at redline. Think about it a little and maybe you'll find a room that suits you. I hope there's one for me, but I admit, i hope it's a ways away from Afriend's.

Nope--Mad Max. The short converstaion held between Rupe and Charlie after Charlie spun out their Falcon Pursuit while chasin the Nightrider.

As a Christian, I am saddened when people think this type of 'sharing your faith' is effective. If anything, it turns people off to Christianity.

AFriend has been banned, although I really don't think he has any further intentions of posting here.

Sebring, the mentality that spawned the crusades was a desire to end 5 centuries of slaughter by the muslims and is no way connected with prostheletizing nit-wits.

In other words-the more things change, the more they stay the same. I give you Iraq today.

However, you may find me differing in opinion as to the reasons you give for the crusades. No surprise there I guess:).

RATS. I was sure I had it right. It sounded just like the dialog Brian had with his mother after he met Judith.

I'm thinking back now and considering that almost 20 years later I have that specific of recall of The Life of Brian, I have two thoughts:

1) I spent way too much time in college watching that movie;

and

2) I should have spent more time on The Search for the Holy Grail.

Well, make that three thoughts. I really have to rent both of those again soon.
