Delt ... that's how they talk. The Earth is plenty big for all the people you want to make, because God made it the right size. You don't have to worry about natural resources because God will just keep filling up the fossil fuels. Gives the Jews a homeland .... so that there is one place to be able to get rid of them easily. I sheet you not. This is what is in power RIGHT NOW and what ... well, not ME by way of voting ... we as Americans have elected.

sinners. you should all think about repenting.
i have seriously considered doing so. however, upon deep reflection, i decided i liked my bike in Black just fine, and it did not need to be repented. but thank you for thinking about me. |
Many people find comfort and solace in religion in a world torn apart .....by religion.

There are probably a lot here that aren't openly religious bible thumpers, don't go to church, however they may be considered "spiritual" with their own belief systems. More like indians that appreciate the stars, moon, and nature. Believing in some kind of something and don't want a lightening bolt crashing through their window and zapping them! Just a guess...

So - why be a Christian?
refer to Frank Zappa - CYO Girls! Nice tats Ding Joe!, the first one just looks plain dirty though, not that thats a bad thing! |
WARNING: Just because you do not wish to partake in a religious debate does not mean you should post pics of near-naked women or of people doing drugs. That's completely disrepectful of those posting here, and is out of line and will not be tolerated.
Don't be an idiot - if you don't wish to discuss religion, stay out of this thread. Further such postings will result in bannings. -Z-man, OT Forum moderator |

I'm sorry Dingo - your not a butt head. And I'm sorry if I dis'd any of the fine folks visting this thread to understand and debate such a noble question.
Higjlander, can you find it in your huge heart to love a man for his faults? |

Z-man... FYI - I posted those photos while the thread was in the R1100S forum, and in that context, I felt completely appropriate in doing so, even if though the thread started "OT...". I believe that it was previously determined that, at least in the R1100S forum, OT threads still needed to have something to do with the bike. I feel tits are more releavent to the R1100S than a discussion on God. Apology accepted... PS - LubeMaster77, it's alright, I really am a butt head... |
But is not the beauty of the female form the work of God?
Is not the technology and science a reflection of the dedication required to engineer a perfect breast augmentation device a testimony to the Lord above in that God must have granted the gift of balence and determination? Sir, I refer to the finest art forms by none other than Leonardo and Mical - did they not show bare breats in much of their work reflecting the grace and beauty of God? Breasts sustain pysical life as it begins its journey - God is the ultimate element in a spiritual life, and if you are a Christian than you believe in the holy trinity of three becomeing one, therefor ....I will let you finish and draw your own conclusion |
Good points Lube, but I was thinking more along the lines of the R1100S and its nice set of juggs, which obviously got me thinking of the female versions...

oh ya, I like boobies too...

"I cannot conceive of a God who rewards and punishes his creatures, or has a will of the kind that we experience in ourselves. Neither can I nor would I want to conceive of an individual that survives his physical death; let feeble souls, from fear or absurd egoism, cherish such thoughts. I am satisfied with the mystery of the eternity of life and with the awareness and a glimpse of the marvelous structure of the existing world, together with the devoted striving to comprehend a portion, be it ever so tiny, of the Reason that manifests itself in nature."

Turns out some marginal left-wing book wrote the quote as a fact back in the 80s. Web sites have quoted the book saying Watt said it as though they were saying Watt said it (get the distinction? The web sites don't say Watt said the quote, they report that a book says that Watt said the quote). Moyers picked up the quote from "The Grist" web site, which more recently has issued its own retraction and apology for conveying a made-up quote. Watt took great shots at Moyers for using the false quote as a basis for making his point. He said that Moyers is a former LBJ presidential assistant and should know that no presidential aid who holds thoughts like that, let alone says them publicly is fit to hold his position. And to accuse Watt of saying such bizarre things without doing his own fact checking is at best careless, at worst suggests an intent to deceive. LBJ would never lie to get his way, would he? Never! A loyal acolyte such as Moyers wouldn't fall far from the tree, would he? Oh, and Neocon is a term correctly used to describe the Wolfowitz wing of the Bush administration that urges overtrow of dictatorships so they can be replaced with friendly governements. It is not an accurate term to describe run of the mill conservatives like Watt. He was, after all, strickly involved with domestic politics. By definition neocon refers to a particular view of foreign policy. Historically, the neocon idea of replacing unfriendly dictatorships with friendly democracies dates back to the immediate post-war era and at least Ike's administration. The neocon philosphy includes Kennedy and his missile gap and wars of liberation. It certainly includes Johnson's war in Vietnam. I say this with no irony. Historians remember the liberal intentions that got us into Vietnam and wonder how the same philosphy is now considered out of the mainstream on to the right a mere 40 years later. What was the original thread about? I forgot. I just wanted to point out that Watt's supposed quote, being bandied about to prove the proposition that crazy right wing fundamentalist Christians ran our government and couldn't wait to bring an end to the earth so the appocolyps is as incorect as the premis behind the argument. Real Christians know that the earth and all life on it (including our own) is given to us in trust to take care of and cherish as the gift it was meant to be. |

When a thread lands here, you cannot tell if it was created here or if it was moved here from another forum by a moderator. So I had no idea that it originally started out on the R1100S forums. Just so we're on the same page. -Z-man. |
