Another drummer down

Doobie drummer Keith Knudsen took the dirt nap today. Why are all the drummers dying this month?

dhoward 02-09-2005 11:34 AM

He didn’t spontaneously combust, did he?

too many heart beats in too little time - may his soul rest in piece

Not a big fan of TDB but a fellow drummer.
May he rock in peace.(Corny, I know.)

Wow, I just hope Jeff "Skunk" Baxter lives forever!

I'm still alive (Hopefully it will stay that way for a while!)

the girls always told me that if your gonna bang one of them, it's always best to bang the drummer.

I heard it's bass players too :-) ...It's a rhythm thing.

Clowd 02-10-2005 08:11 AM

Hmm, I always thought girls liked the singers and guitarists.. leaving us drummers out in the cold :(

M.D. Holloway 02-10-2005 10:36 AM

from experience playing in jazz/blues groups and drum corp, the drummers get the most tail!

All I got was an ex-wife! She was a groupie that was supposed to be a one-nighter. DOH!!!!!!
I always had a GF when we were playing the big clubs in Detroit so I never got a chance.Met a lot of "interesting" personalities, though.

Detroit!! Man I got some memories (I think) of that town. I lived in Cleveland at the time and we played up there a lot. Are the giant Ready Whip cans still there?

Oh Haha 02-11-2005 04:25 AM

targa911s--I have been out the scene for quite a while now. Not much coming out of Detroit, in my opinion. Kid Rock is alright but I get tired of
the trailer trash thing. We played with him when he was just starting out.
I give him credit for sticking with it. Some of us went and got jobs and married and stuff.

Detroit is STILL a great town. Did some shows with Seger back when he was playing Hullaballoo's. Cooper too. Yeah I know a LOT of great musicians that gave it up to put kids through college. Respectable. I think I have the best wife in the world (#2) she has been puttin' up with my playing for 25 years now. Of course I met her in a club. Yeah I'm old.

Oh Haha 02-11-2005 08:28 AM

Hey, my second wife is awesome as well.. She didn't even know me back in my rocker days. She still kids me about how we dressed to be on stage.
She has only seen me play twice and she thought it was too loud.
Muwhahahahahahaha!!!
